This study aimed to conduct a survey of the opinions of a sample of university professors with experience and competence in the field of statistics and scientific research, regarding the use of triangulation and mixed methods in scientific research, the extent to which data collected using multiple tools can be combined and statistically analyzed, highlighting the importance of triangulation and mixed methods in scientific research, and identifying the most important problems and difficulties that students and faculty members may face when using triangulation and mixed methods in scientific research. The study relied on books and previous studies that addressed the research topic through research and analysis, in addition to conducting a survey of a small sample of 31 university professors, all experts in statistics and scientific research from various Arab universities. The snowball sampling method and expert sampling were used to collect data, through sharing a link to an electronic questionnaire prepared using Google Forms via social media, and by contacting some of the statistics and scientific research experts via email. Through the literature, previous studies, and the exploratory study, and after conducting statistical analysis of the study data using the PSPP program, the study reached some results that reinforce and confirm the importance of using the triangulation method and the mixed method in scientific research. Among the most important results was that triangulation enhances the credibility and validity of the research, and that triangulation is a good way to benefit from different scientific research methods in one study. The study also concluded that triangulation helps to ensure the validity and reliability of the results by combining different methods and viewpoints, etc. Among the most important problems and difficulties facing the application of the triangulation method and the mixed method in scientific research were the lack of training courses on the triangulation method and the mixed method in scientific research, and the lack of inclusion of a course on triangulation and the mixed method in the curriculum of graduate studies programs at the academy.
