This research discusses the possibility of Libya joining the World Trade Organization، especially since it has observer status، and researches the advantages and extent to which Libya benefits from joining this global organization، especially since 97% of the world’s trade passes through it. This research aims to identify the most important challenges facing Libya if It joined the World Trade Organization، as well as verifying the most important advantages that Libya will gain if it joins the World Trade Organization. By raising a set of questions، the most important of which is: What will Libya benefit from joining the World Trade Organization? . This research relies on historical and descriptive approaches to analyze a number of economic variables based on previous studies and international and regional reports، as well as providing a theoretical framework from references، periodicals and specialized research. The research concluded with a number of results، the most important of which are: The more Libya accelerates the process of joining the World Trade Organization، the more successes and satisfactory rates of comprehensive and sustainable development it will reap، and that the most important challenge that Libya must undertake at this stage is establishing the economic and political foundation، and preparing the various frameworks، taking into account the situation.
