The research deals with the Arabic letter of the Kufic script and the means of developing it in the field of furniture after its use was limited to papers and evidence. The research revolves around studying some of the letters of the Kufic script through a purposive sample represented by the letters Alif, Nun, and Lam Alif and employing them in the field of furniture such as a bookcase, a meeting table, and a nightstand. Small for a living room, and combining two letters to produce a striped decorative work used in interior spaces. The problem of the research was identified in the lack of a study of the geometric shape of the Kufic letter and its use in the internal form. The research aims to develop the Kufic letter, which is characterized by the geometric composition of its letters, and ways to develop it to produce an Islamic style in the field Furniture and decoration so that functional and aesthetic integration is achieved through the aesthetic values that are produced through these designs. The importance of the research lies in increasing the knowledge of specialists in the field of interior design, and clarifying the importance of the Arabic letter for the Kufic script in particular. The research also contains questions that the researcher aspires to find an answer to and a solution to the problem. During the research, by asking how the geometric shape of the Kufic script was employed and used in interior design, several questions emerged that were raised by the research. At the end of the research, the researcher reached several results, including that some letters can be used in the field of furniture.
