This study addressed the issue of the strategic management in the technical education institutions in Libya. The problem of the study was identified in the fact that the reality of strategic management at the Higher Institute of Science and Technology indicates that there is a shortcoming in the senior management ability to implement strategic management method, which negatively affect its performance because of absence of relative stability in the surrounding environment. . The importance of study derive to the enrichment of scientific research through the addendum provided by the earlier efforts in this area, and to make the technical institutions realize the causes of shortcoming and to overcome it by emphasizing on the importance of the role that strategic management process plays in the technical institutions. The researchers in this Study to analyze the descriptive and quantitative Study of the phenomenon, using a questionnaire tool to collect data and then distributed to the research sample, after subjecting the data obtained for analysis to test the hypotheses that were formulated , the study concluded with a set of results
