This study aimed to examine the current state of strategic planning practices in private Palestinian universities in the southern governorates of Palestine. The researcher adopted the descriptive-analytical approach to describe and interpret the phenomenon. A questionnaire was developed based on the Fogg Model as the study instrument to survey the opinions of a sample comprising all individuals holding supervisory positions, including academic and administrative leaders in the targeted private universities. A total of 122 questionnaires were distributed, and 94 were retrieved, representing a response rate of 77%. The findings revealed that the level of strategic planning practice was high, with an overall mean score of 83.4%. In terms of the five dimensions, the "Planning Foundation" dimension ranked highest with a mean of 84.3%, followed by "Strategic Plan Implementation" at 83.7%, "Desired Outcomes" at 83.5%, "Plan Review and Evaluation" at 83.3%, and finally "Enabling Means" at 82.2%. All five dimensions were rated as high. The study concluded that the private universities under investigation demonstrate an advanced level of strategic planning, which contributes to enhancing institutional performance efficiency and supporting competitive capacity. Regarding demographic variables, the results indicated statistically significant differences in strategic planning practices attributable to gender and academic qualification. In light of the findings, the study put forward several recommendations, the most prominent of which are: the need to strengthen integration across all stages of strategic planning, promote institutional participation between academic and administrative units, and develop monitoring and evaluation systems based on clear performance indicators to ensure effective implementation and sustainability.
