This study aimed to outline the duties of public employees under Palestinian Civil Service Law and Islamic jurisprudence, employing both descriptive-analytical and comparative methodologies. It examined aspects such as work performance and adherence to working hours, professional conduct with the public, protection of public funds, obedience to superiors, and professional competence development. The study also highlighted the jurisprudential foundations of these duties—rooted in concepts such as trustworthiness, fulfillment of contracts, regard for the public interest, and excellence in work. It concluded that the two frameworks align regarding the substance and objectives of these duties, despite differing in the underlying basis of the obligation. Finally, the study recommended clarifying job duties, strengthening self-regulation, enhancing training and performance evaluation mechanisms, and regulating conflicts of interest in a manner that safeguards the public interest and improves service delivery..................
