Most of the production institutions are concerned with the inventory and study of the waste resulting from their various industrial processes, in order to benefit from these wastes by recycling them or finding the best methods for disposing of them as these wastes represent harm to the environment and public safety. This paper aims at introducing the management of industrial waste in the Libyan Iron and Steel Company in Misurata city, by introducing the company and the types of industrial waste resulting from its various production processes, and methods of classification of these wastes, in addition to the company's policy in dealing with these wastes. The data of this paper were collected through the company's field visits, interviews with the competent authorities and the reports of the waste management company. The company's interest during the past years is to conduct many researches and studies in an attempt to find the best ways to recycle or dispose of waste. While praising the company's efforts in this field, we recommend increasing attention to this issue by working on completing the complete data for all waste and classification to facilitate the disposal process. All the organizational divisions of the company to work on the identification of quantities of waste, the definition of the company's waste through seminars, conferences and various media in order to cooperate to find ways to benefit from or disposal of scientific methods.
