This study aims to reveal the role of small agricultural projects in the economic development of the Jaffara region. It addressed the problem of the weak contribution of small and medium agricultural projects to the gross domestic product, by asking the following question: What is the role of small and medium agricultural projects in agricultural economic development? The descriptive analytical approach was used to reach the results and test the hypotheses of the study. A questionnaire was distributed to the study sample, which consisted of a group of owners of small agricultural projects, amounting to 80 individuals. The analysis program used the statistical package (SPSS), and the study reached results, the most important of which are: There is no statistically significant role for agricultural projects in achieving economic development, due to the difficulty in obtaining financing and loans, in addition to the lack of support for agricultural projects, as there are several challenges facing agricultural projects, and the study recommends the following: In financing agricultural economic development operations in Libya, and working to increase the amount of investments directed to the agricultural sector so that it can achieve the highest possible efficiency by exploiting the available economic resources.
