This study investigates the effectiveness of Google Scholar’s visual interface in supporting scientific information retrieval, viewing it not merely as a search engine but as an active partner in the process of scholarly exploration. The research examines whether the interface truly empowers researchers or subtly shapes their investigative paths. Employing a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, the study analyzes search techniques, challenges encountered by users, and the impact of interface design on the evaluation of information. By focusing on researcher behavior, search strategies, and interactions with the interface, the study highlights factors such as quality of research appraisal, retrieval efficiency, and usability.
