The most appropriate choice of clean up-technique is determined by the physicochemical properties of the oil as well as the sea state and weather condition. State of the art oil spill contingency plan that is based on the mathematical model that consider all the above factors are usually prepared. The development of this model requires an extensive field and experimental database. However, depending on the nature of oil or oil products under consideration one or more factor may dominate the other factor. When a high API gravity large percentage of oil eventually evaporate in the early hours or earl few days of oil spill. Therefore, the main purpose of the study is to address the role of evaporation in combating an oil spill based on Al–Bouri oil using two types’ models at different local conditions.
